RTX drivers open up new application fields - RTX drivers allow real-time acquisition and output of analog data with the APCI-3120 PCI board. Thus, deterministic measurement and control tasks can be realised. The analog I/O board has 16 SE/ 8 diff. inputs, 16-bit, and up to 8 analog outputs, 14-bit, as well as a 100 kHz throughput rate. Thanks to its numerous protective circuits and optical isolation, the board is especially suited for use in a harsh industrial environment.
The APCI-3120 is suitable for the following input range: 0-10 V, ±10 V, 0-5 V, ±5 V, 0-2 V, ±2 V, 0-1 V, ±1 V. Acquisition can be started through software, timer or external event. The gain for the signal can be set for each channel (10x). Through PCI-DMA, the acquired data is directly written in the memory in order to take load off the CPU of the PC. Each output has its own ground line and can display signals in the 0-10 V, ±10 V range. After reset, all outputs are set to “0”. For the processing of digital 24 V signals, 8 additional optically isolated digital I/O lines are available. Drivers for Windows 64-bit as well as other drivers can be downloaded free of charge. A version for the PCI-Express bus, the APCIe3121, also is available. It also supports the MSI interrupt function.
